My blenders died!
Had a blissful lie in this morning, loving having time off! After I enjoyed my lie in I got up and did the Davina Super Body DVD, the Super Sculpt section. Went off to make my breakfast, I fancied a lovely thick smoothie so got out my blender, added my ingredients and set if off to wizz, next thing I know its making a horrible noise and smells of burning, the poor thing had died! I guess all this smoothie making had taken its toll! It was a good few years old so I guess it was just its time. As it only half blended I ended up with a smoothie soup containing frozen blueberries, frozen raspberries, oats, ground flax, scoop of vanilla protein powder, hazelnut and almond rice milk with a sprinkling of flaked almonds -
After breakfast I pottered about and got ready. Me and the Hubby decided to have a ride out to have a look around the shops as he was after some bits and bobs for a change! I still needed to get some under bed storage bags as well as a new blender so we braved the snow! While we were out we stopped for a coffee at Starbucks. I had a medium skinny caramel latte which was yummy and warmed me right up!
I managed to get my underbed storage bags and boxes as well as a new blender. I can't imagine being without my blender so I was so glad that I was able to pick one straight up. Its a Phillips and has a plastic jug. My last one had a glass jug so I feel like I'm taking a bit of a chance with this one but hopefully it will work well, its able to chop ice cubes so it should be able to handle anything I throw at it. Plus with it being plastic its a lot lighter and easier to clean -
For lunch I had a slice of stoneground wholemeal bread toasted with two scrambled eggs (I just did them in the microwave as I was starving by the time I got back) with a nectarine.
Afternoon snack was two Peanut Butter Cups and a cup of decaf tea, these are just so gorgeous I still can't believe how well these turned out!
After more pottering about, and watching Supernatural on DVD I made my dinner which was a home made bean burger with a big salad followed by another nectarine -
Drinks - water, green tea, decaf tea, skinny latte
Its been just so nice to be able to relax and just take my time with things today, I'm going to really enjoy the rest of my week, plus my new food processor and protein powders are due for delivery tomorrow, can't wait! I'm now going to catch up on some blogs and read Women's Fitness which I just bought today, it looks really interesting so I'm looking forward to getting into it. Hope everyones had a good day xxx
