Recent eats, workouts and a GIVEAWAY!

Thanks for all the lovely supportive comments to my last post about our situation. We must have lady luck smiling at us though, as today James was offered a job and starts on Monday! Thanks for all the positive vibes!

I’ve been a bit lazy with my camera this week so today’s post is courtesy of Instagram :-)

I’ve been enjoying the usual smoothies, including this utterly delicious Butternut Smoothie:

I haven’t had one in a while and it was so good!

I’ve also had a couple with my usual greens:

This one turned out a black colour! It contained kale, frozen blueberries, a pear, hemp protein, carob powder, stevia, water, ice, gums and topped with muesli and sunflower seed butter.

This morning I had this lovely smoothie post gym:

This contained spinach, frozen banana, 3 kiwi, strawberry hemp protein powder, maca powder, spirulina, water, ice, gums, topped with raw macadamia butter, goji berries and cacao nibs

I enjoyed a nice light raw breakfast yesterday:

3 sliced kiwi, vanilla chia pudding (2 tbsp of chia seeds, vanilla sun warrior, water) and goji berries

For snacks, I’ve been working my way through some squash dip I made at the weekend:

I’ve been enjoying it with raw juice pulp crackers and veggies for dipping.

Lunches have included this tasty salad:

Romaine, spinach, red cabbage, carrot, olives, chickpeas and a blueberry balsamic, apple cider vinegar and hemp oil dressing.

For dinner I made the most of some leftovers and fried up some cooked brown and red rice with an onion and ginger, kale and red cabbage and some leftover roast onion squash and my last few frozen soya beans:

This was delicious, I love randomly concocted meals using up leftovers!

Workouts this week have been great. I stuck to my plan and did:

  • Monday – AM gym workout, 5 minute warm up, 30 minutes strength – from Base Phase of Female Body Breakthrough, 15 minutes HIITs on treadmill
  • Tuesday – AM Yoga for Runners, PM gym workout 30 minutes HIITs on cardio machines, Body Pump
  • Wednesday – AM gym workout, 5k speed intervals treadmill, 30 minutes HIITs cardio machines, 2.30 min plank
  • Thursday – Anything goes workout! AM – I did these brilliant You Tube Videos – including kickboxing, pilates and yoga!
  • Friday - AM gym workout, 5 minute warm up, 30 minutes strength – from Base Phase of Female Body Breakthrough, 15 minutes HIITs on bike

I loved changing things up again with the You Tube workouts for my anything goes – so much fun!
