Exercising at home and my dream home gym
As much as I love going to the gym, sometimes I do like to workout at home. Often it is quicker, cheaper and much more convenient to get your sweat on in your living room!
In the past I used to get really frustrated because I didn’t feel that I could get the same kind of ‘burn’ working out at home as what I could manage at the gym. However with the right equipment and tools I definitely think you can get in an effective workout.
Of course workout DVD’s are a favourite of mine, along with Youtube videos. In the past I’ve also used interval timers and equipment from around the house to make a ‘better than the gym’ home workout which was awesome!
Having a few bits of equipment such as the fitness equipment from Argos to hand can be very useful. The dumbbells I have were bought from Argos and were very affordable, I use them when doing the 30 Day Shred and Davina DVD’s.
James and I have even chatted about having a mini home gym when we eventually move into a bigger house. I’d love to have a place with a garage that we can kit out with a few bigger gym machines such as one of these elliptical cross trainers, a tread mill, a good multi gym and big weights for my strength training. Oh, and a stability ball and medicine ball too!
