Buffet lunches, fruit crumble for breakfast and doing what I love
Happy Friday everyone, hope you have had a brilliant week! Its certainly feeling more autumnal, the mornings are getting cooler and I can’t believe how dark it is when I get up at 6am! However I keep reminding myself that while the days get shorter and colder there is an upside:

I always find it a bit difficult to know how to dress when the day starts off freezing and then gets much warmer by the afternoon so I’ve been trying out layers and adding leggings to dresses:
OOTD: blazer: H&M, floral dress: Florence and Fred Tesco, gold chain necklaces: Warehouse, leggings: H&M, gladiator sandals: Primark
I wore a big woolly scarf with this when I left the house!
This weeks workouts:
- Saturday – 3,2,1 workout at the gym
- Sunday – REST
- Monday – 5 min warm up on cross trainer, workout 1, 10 min HIIT on bike
- Tuesday – 20 minutes cardio on machines in gym, Body Pump class
- Wednesday – 60 minute level 2 Vinyasa flow from Yogaglo
- Thursday – REST
- Friday – 5 min warm up on cross trainer, workout 2, 10 min HIIT on bike
I was planning on doing some yoga or popping to the gym yesterday but I just wasn’t feeling it at all. So glad that I decided to give myself the rest day I needed!
Without a doubt the highlight of my week food wise has been my roasted fruit crumble – seriously it is really really good! I’ve been eating leftovers for breakfast with green smoothies and Earl Grey tea:
I’m trying to ease back on the coffee just a tiny bit so Earl Grey with almond milk has been a welcome change. On Tuesday I attended a training course for work and enjoyed a pretty good buffet lunch:
Multiply that plate by two plus an extra plate of fruit and several chocolate truffles :-) I had cheese sandwiches, brie, apple and grape bun, spinach and falafel wraps and halloumi cheese and pineapple kebabs as well as lots of melon and grapes.
I’ve also had some very tasty dinners including a massive bowl of courgette ‘spaghetti’ topped with some seitan in a tomato and basil sauce:
Also a baked sweet potato topped with a fried egg and a delicious Buddha bowl with steamed greens and kale, brown rice, black beans, red onion, red pepper and a whole small avocado.
I’ve also had some sweeter treats including strawberries with coconut cream, dried figs dipped directly into a jar of tahini, a berry smoothie topped with cacao nibs and raw granola…
…and a huge bowl of blueberries and nectarine with coconut cream and a green smoothie on the side. Good stuff!
On the Love List this week…
As I mentioned in Wednesday’s post, I had a great day on Monday really getting down to the nitty gritty work developing business ideas for the future. There is so much stuff going on around of all that for me right now that I can’t wait to share. All I can say is that it is making me very happy to be spending so much time doing things that I love! Also…
Seeing the first initial sketches for designs for the new business and KHGS logos and branding, so excited! // Sweaty Betty’s new collection // buying the big 1 kg trays of strawberries from Tesco – and eating them all // my nephew and best friends little girls first day at school // making my makeshift desk space pretty // arranging blogger meet ups! // being picked as one of the top 100 food blogs by Woman and Home Magazine!
