Weekend here I come!
Got up this morning and thankfully I'm feeling much better, I seem to be winning the battle against the head cold. I had a mug of warm water and one of my muffins before I hit the gym (I probably should have rested with me not being 100% but I knew a good workout would make me feel better overall).
I was the only person in the gym for most of the time I was there, which was quite weird! I did 10 mins on the treadmill with my new and improved intervals followed by 20 mins on the stepper with the first 10 mins intervals and 20 mins on the cross trainer with the first 10 mins intervals. I then did some abs sets before dashing home to get ready for work. I was starving when I got back so for breakfast I made a big bowl of porridge with skimmed milk topped with some hazelnut and almond rice milk, dollop of natural yoghurt topped with flaked almonds -

For lunch I had an apple and a bowl of leek and potato soup (same as yesterday) and for a mid afternoon snack I had half a pot of cottage cheese with some raisins. It looks a bit dodgy in the photo but tasted really good and filled me up!

When I got home from work I had an apple to keep me going before I made my dinner which was steamed salmon with ginger and stir fried brocolli, carrot, red pepper and red onion with ginger and soy sauce, delicious!

For my desert I decided to treat myself and make some banana chocolate peanut butter ice cream! I got the idea from chocolate covered katies blog which is wonderful!
Banana chocolate peanut butter ice cream -
1 frozen banana
1 tablespoon of cocca powder
1 large tablespoon of peanut butter
2 tablespoons of hazelnut and almond rice milk
Add all ingredients to a blender and mix!

(There is some banana in there under all that peanut butter!) I used a spatula to push the mixture down into the blades but watch it doesn't get stuck in the blades (which happened to me) and that you keep the top of the blender as covered as possible so it doesn't go everywhere (which also happened to me!). On reflection I would probably get the banana, peanut butter and milk blended first and then add the cocca powder as my blender has a bad habit of letting any powdery stuff collect under the blades. Anyway, when its all blended you end up with this bowl of lovelyness -

Yum!
Drinks - water, green tea, decaf tea, lemon and ginger tea, vit C tablet in water
What does everyone have planned for the weekend? We were planning on having house guests up but theres been a change of plan so I'm now free. Since my holidays have now offically started I think I'll be hitting the shops tomorrow for some retail therapy. I'm going to spend the rest of the evening sorting through my wardrobe and updating my wish list so I don't end up just impulse buying crap! I also feel like I could do with a bit of a pamper session as I haven't had one in ages. I'll probably do a post on this as I'd love to share my thoughts with you, I think every women should put time aside for a good pamper session!
Hope everyone has a great weekend! xxx
EDIT - Just realised that I didn't mention my weigh in this morning, thankfully the 4lb I put on last week has gone plus an extra 1lb off, woo hoo!
