The horror of the changing rooms

As I had a bit of a late start due to going to my conference instead of work today I actually had quite a relaxing morning for a change! I had a mug of warm water with lemon juice and then got stuck into my Davina DVD for 30 minutes. For breakfast I mixed a scoop of vanilla whey with some natural yoghurt and mixed in some semi defrosted frozen mixed berries then topped with a few tablespoons of my home mix muesli.


I even enjoyed a mug of green tea with it whilst blog reading for an hour!

I took two satsumas for snacking along to the conference with me, which was being held in a local community centre. I drank water and green tea throughout the day but the buffet wasn't very good, all quarter pork pies and open sandwiches on white bread. I ended up just having some pickled onions and beetroot with a few salad leaves, tortilla chips and salsa and a little bowl of chopped pineapple and melon.


After the conference I headed to tesco for a semi big shop, its so good to have a full fridge again! As soon as I'd unpacked the shopping I chopped up a golden delicious and a red delicious apple and covered them with cinnamon and maca. I chomped down on these in seconds as I was so hungry!


I then thought that I would hit the Thursday evening shopping since I had the night free and Dorothy Perkins had the 20% off deal. I picked up a few bits and pieces for my holiday

I also picked up some black trousers for work as my current bootcut pair are too baggy on me! I am happy to be a size 10/12 (and more often than not a 10 recently) but I got quite down in the changing rooms when I looked at my body in the mirrors (those ones that show you at every angle possible!) I've worked very hard to lose weight and my arms, upper back and legs look great, I'm developing some real muscle definition, but the rest of me, theres no other way to describe it, I'm saggy. My boobs, belly and bum are not good. I do have some quite good muscle under there but my skin is just loose. Those mirrors just seem to reveal how bad it can be! I feel well peed off that my life of yo yo dieting has stretched my skin beyond repair. Not happy.

Anyway, when I got home I dug into some more of my quinoa creation from last night. I was going to warm it up but it tasted perfect cold, and in that typical way with leftovers actually tastes better today than yesterday!


I followed that with 3 chopped kiwis.

I'm probably going to snack on another apple and some babybels later while watching American Idol!

I have a really fun day planned for tomorrow, I'll be visiting my sister in law and then my sister and nephew and then heading for a date with my hubby! I can't wait, we are going to go to our favourite Italian resturant (we love Italian food as we got married in Italy and it just takes us back!) then head home and crack open a bottle of wine and get a movie to watch. I'm probably going to take a day off from the blog tomorrow so that I can just chill with James tomorrow evening but I shall be back on Saturday.
