My favourite breakfast and feeling snacky

I was still knackered again this morning but was a bit happier to get out of bed, all just so I could eat what is now becoming my favourite breakfast - porridge made with water and a little rice milk with strawberry jam and peanut butter. I think I might have went slightly overboard with the amount of jam and pb but I don't care cause it just tasted so lush!

Work wasn't too bad as I had some info I had to get together for my boss with a very tight deadline. This would usually be a bad thing but it was actually just what I needed to get my brain into gear! Mid morning I snacked on a golden delicious apple.

This afternoon I had to attend a meeting which was being held just 5 mins from the flat so I decided to go and take my lunch break at home, stopping by the shops for a few mid week groceries, although the local shop wasn't very well stocked :-(. Lunch was more turkey hummus lettuce wraps with carrot and cucumber and more hummus plus another apple and a few grapes.

It made a lovely change to be able to be at home chilling out on my lunch break! The meeting I had in the afternoon lasted 2 1/2 hours and again I was just losing the will to live, so after a while I decided to make my excuses and leave or else I would not have got to the gym. On the walk home I snacked on a fuel bar.

I then hit the gym for my cardio workout. I did 15 mins of intervals on the treadmill, bike, cross trainer and step machine. I kept up with my increased speed and resistance levels but this workout was really tough. I think I'm having a funny week energy wise especially since I've been so tired each morning. After I did my cardio I did 3 sets of my usual abs exercises.

I was famished when I got home, and a combination of the badly stocked shop and waiting for payday meant that all I could rustle up for dinner was an omlette made with 1 egg and 2 egg whites with edam cheese and white onion (the shop didn't have any red onion) and some salad with grated carrot and cucumber.

It was ok, just wish I'd had some red onion for it instead! Desert was some protein goo made with a scoop of chocolate whey mixed with a little rice milk and flavoured with some natural peppermint which was really delicious.

I've also been a little bit snacky tonight and I've had a few grapes and dates while watching the tv and I can feel that I'm probably going to end up going back for a few more!

Drinks - water, green tea, decaf tea, regular tea

I'm going to head off now and raid the cupboards for a few more dates, then chill out in front of the tv for the rest of the evening and try and re charge the batteries. Hope you've all had a good day, not long till Friday now thank goodness!
