Huge Pizza!
Hi Everyone, hope your all having a good Tuesday!
I started the day by doing Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred Level 2 and the first circuit of level three (to take it nearer 30 mins). As we have a new tenant in downstairs I didn't think it would be fair to them if I jumped about like an elephant during the cardio intervals at 6.30am! So I modified to do lower impact moves when I could. I was still completely exhausted by the end of it! I followed my workout with a Green Monster made with two big handfuls of spinach, frozen banana, pressed apple juice, hazelnut and almond rice milk, oats, ground flax and a scoop of chocolate whey powder.
I was in an all day meeting for work today. The meeting was being held in a little meeting room above an Italian Resturant (you know where this is going). I had one latte made with semi skimmed milk mid morning plus loads of green tea, so far so good. For lunch it just all went to hell. They had a set menu which everyone else was having. I looked at the options but for some reason all my good intentions just seemed to go out the window. I started with some minestone soup and a buttered bread bun
Followed by a huge cheese and tomato thin crust pizza
Finished off with a slice of lemon tart
I felt utterly disgusted with myself. The meal was lovely but I just ate mindlessly. I could have not went for the set menu and just choosen one course from the regular menu, and I should have known that the pizza would be massive. Why do I always do this! Its quite ironic as this was the moment I was telling my work collegues that I was doing the blog (hence the photos!)
I felt totally guilty and bloated for the rest of the afternoon after eating so much so just drank loads more green tea and water. When I got home I decided to go for a quick run (1.94 miles) hoping that it would make me feel a bit better (and burn a few excess calories!) which it did.
After a binge or over eat I would usually skip the rest of the days meals but I know that this would just be counter productive in the long run as I would end up getting hungry and just grabbing whatever I can get my hands on. So I decided to have dinner but kept it very light, I had a tuna salad with spinach, cucumber, carrot and tuna with red onion and light mayo followed by a big bowl of red grapes and an apple.
Drinks - loads of water, loads of green tea, latte
I've realised now that theres no point in beating myself up about over eating at lunch time, I just need to try and learn from it and move on. I just hope that I haven't put on any more weight this week. I know its not all about what the scales say but its the best measurement I have to help me stay on track. Anyway, onward and upward with the rest of the week!
