An Inspiring Work Space
Now that I need to seriously get my work head on at home more often I have decided that I probably need a more dedicated work space rather than the temporary ‘dining table’ set up I’ve been using so far.
However that is easier said that done! We live in a adorable but petite one bed flat so any work space is going to have to be incorporated into our living space. What we are considering at the moment is a full living room make over, and as a true lover of interior design nothing makes me happier! Although we don’t see it as a long term solution (that would be a new home eventually, or possibly a dedicated office somewhere one day) it will make things more practical in the interim.
Over the last few weeks I’ve been collecting lots of inspiration for unique work spaces – whatever we end up with will have to work in harmony with the rest of the room and make extremely effective use of space, not to mention be cheap and cheerful!
Here’s a few images that have set my heart a flutter…
So many gorgeous ideas :-) That desk in the first collage is just £10 from IKEA but I would love to find a more bespoke desk solution. I also love the Eames style chair – a cheap eBay find. One thing I definitely want to incorporate is a large pin board that I can cover with inspiring images such as the one featured in the central image above. I think that is a decorate feature in itself!
Do you have a work space at home? Any ideas how I can style a beautiful creative work space on a small budget in a little flat?
